Questions
- How do I make a colour palette?
- Press space or tap New palette until you see a colour you like, lock it with the padlock, and keep pressing until the rest fit. Pick a style such as Pastel or Complementary to steer the results.
- What do the numbers at the top mean?
- That's the contrast of the text on each colour, from 1 to 21. 4.5 or more is easy to read for body text (the WCAG AA level). Under 3 is only fine for large headings.
- Can I use these colours commercially?
- Yes. Colours can't be owned, so use them anywhere. The fonts in the preview are free for commercial use too.
- How do I save a palette?
- Copy link gives you a web address with the palette in it. Bookmark it or send it to someone. You can also copy the CSS or download a PNG.
